1. I personally like the Dock best at the left side of the screen, just visually. I usually have it at the right side, though, because Classic apps don't like it at the bottom or left. I don't know if I'd like it in the menubar. I just wish popup menus in OS X were faster.
2. Yes, I just recently switched from a PC to a Mac, and can no longer pin my calendar/tasks to the right side of my emails. Will this feature be available in the near future? I find it a little odd that it isn't offered for those operating on a Mac, especially as this was one of the main reasons I switched to Outlook.

If Split View doesn't work, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Mission Control, and make sure that “Displays have separate Spaces” is selected.
